Design of Magnetic Mounts with External Threads

Magnetic clamps with external threads consist of a powerful neodymium magnet housed in a steel casing. The housing features an external thread ranging in size from M3 to M10. The steel housing protects neodymium magnetic holders with an external thread, which protects it from impacts and simultaneously directs the magnetic field to a small area just in front of the magnet.

Properties of Neodymium Magnetic Clamps with External Threads

Magnetic holders with external threads have greater magnetic force compared to neodymium magnets without a housing of similar dimensions. Their magnetic strength on the threaded side is very weak because the steel shields the magnetic field in that direction and redirects it back toward the active side of the magnet.

Our neodymium magnets with external threads have the north pole on the exposed side. Like magnetic poles repel each other, so if you place two neodymium magnets with external threads so that their magnetic poles face each other, they will repel each other.. If you need the magnet to attract rather than repel, use a combination of a magnet and a steel washer.
